This installation was based on my not being black, and thus being an object of consequence only in my ability to reflect projections of objectified sexual fetishism. The black/ white contrast carries over into much of my work, only here taking the form of sexuality and ethnicity, and due to its ubiquity, I cannot but take responsibility for even this – seemingly justified – inequality. All lights fully functional!
